Jonathan R. Meyers

VP Mergers and Acquisitions

Jon Meyers is the VP of Mergers and Acquisitions for Suntex Ventures.

Prior to Suntex, Mr. Meyers was responsible for all underwriting and due diligence for the Dallas office of Island Global Yachting (“IGY”), a premier marina resort destination, management and development company. During his tenure with IGY, Mr. Meyers, helped acquire multiple marina assets. Mr. Meyers joined IGY through IGY’s acquisition of Sun Resorts.

Prior to a merger with IGY, Mr. Meyers worked on the Sun Resort’s M&A team where he was responsible for multiple land divestitures and debt refinances. Mr. Meyers led the due diligence process in the successful merger of Sun Resort’s marina portfolio and management company with IGY. In addition, Mr. Meyers secured equity for multiple development projects where he is also a partner with a total capitalization for these projects over $400 million. Prior to Sun Resorts Mr. Meyers worked for the Capital Markets Group of ORIX USA, a diversified financial and advisory service provider, who managed in excess of $1 billion in public bonds and loans.

Mr. Meyers graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Christian University with a BA in Finance. In addition, Mr. Meyers played and lettered four years for the Division I Soccer team. Mr. Meyers currently resides in Dallas, TX where he is a member of the Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church with his wife and son and competes in full contact martial arts and boxing.
